Hurricane Ridge Ski and Snowboard Area

They call it Hurricane Ridge for a reason.
Call 360-565-3131 for updated road, lift and weather conditions daily.
The road is scheduled to be open Fri, Sat, Sun, as well as holidays all winter, and the lifts operate on the weekends and holiday Mondays as well as the week after Christmas. The National Park charges an entrance fee, and tire chains are required to be carried in all vehicles traveling up to the Ridge.

Pre weekend hype aleart. Absolutely dumping right now with 10 new inches just today. There is going to be a mid week warm up with some rain, followed by more snow just in time for the weekend. Perfect combo for the BC powder gang for a right side up powder party. Last weekend we were able to start a small terrain park, hopefully more for this coming weekend. And best of all next Saturday will be opening day for the POMA! Cat drivers killed it tag teaming the track like 1983 WWF gangsters. They built the track in record time, all the cookies dropped of for them over the weekend seemed to work, putting the operations guys into double overdrive. Thanks for all the Ridge love, most of you have been dishing out on the so far up and down season.

The marketing department just sent over tomorrows recommended socials post video. Psst, don't believe them. Here is the real deal. Slow cooling with rain turning to snow by 9am. Light to moderate wind and snow all day. If you are at a progression level we have the best conditions of the season, soft and forgiving snow surfaces. Super user friendly. For the rippers, tons of fresh, soggy mashed potatoes for as far as they eye can see. Also looks like the POMA should be ready to go for next weekend.

A big thank you to everyone who came up for what could arguably be the best day of the season so far, emphasis on arguably. Big shout out to our customers. Employees, ONP Road crew and Rangers. Also to puppies, we love puppies.

What did the raven say when the road to the Ridge was closed all day? Quote the raven "Don't worry bro, we still have 2 more days this weekend to get our shred on". Followed by "is the POMA open"? All things are a go for tomorrow, road and weather conditions permitting. Sorry to Mr. Edger Allen Poe for any trauma this post may have caused him. The question still remains though, will the POMA be open this weekend? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sorry, due to the uncertainty of when and if the road will open today the Hurricane Ridge ski area will be closed for the day.

The weather is looking a bit iffy for tomorrow. Remember it's not the amount of snow that closes the road, it's the wind. No matter what the weather though our bus will be waiting for you at civic field to give you a ride up to the ski area.
