Hurricane Ridge Ski and Snowboard Area

They call it Hurricane Ridge for a reason.
Call 360-565-3131 for updated road, lift and weather conditions daily.
The road is scheduled to be open Fri, Sat, Sun, as well as holidays all winter, and the lifts operate on the weekends and holiday Mondays as well as the week after Christmas. The National Park charges an entrance fee, and tire chains are required to be carried in all vehicles traveling up to the Ridge.

Sorry, due to the uncertainty of when and if the road will open today the Hurricane Ridge ski area will be closed for the day.

The weather is looking a bit iffy for tomorrow. Remember it's not the amount of snow that closes the road, it's the wind. No matter what the weather though our bus will be waiting for you at civic field to give you a ride up to the ski area.

We have had over 50 inches of new snow since we were last open and avalanche conditions are as high as they can get. Most people don't know that within 25 feet of the top of our intermediate rope tow you enter into extreme avalanche terrain that should not be entered. Just because you see others enter into that terrain does not mean you should. Do not go past the ski area boundary sign at the top of the tow unless you are willing to die. There are many safe routes out along the ridgeline that can be skied in all conditions, if you don't know the routes or the conditions, don't go. Be happy, Be safe. If you must go have the proper gear, and a buddy. Also even if you are riding inbounds, the snow in ungroomed areas can be so deep that if you fall you may not be able to stand back up and snow immersion could be a big problem. Ride with a friend this weekend. Current avalanche forecast https://www.nwac.us/avalanche-forecast/current/olympics/

Haven't heard anything about the road for today but it looks like Big Red going and blowing so hopefully the ski area is good to go for the 3 day weekend.

There are many ways to use your Indy Pass but this is one of the best ways. You can still buy one now, and with how good the snow has been lately you might want to do that right now.
