Hurricane Ridge Ski and Snowboard Area

They call it Hurricane Ridge for a reason.
Call 360-565-3131 for updated road, lift and weather conditions daily.
The road is scheduled to be open Fri, Sat, Sun, as well as holidays all winter, and the lifts operate on the weekends and holiday Mondays as well as the week after Christmas. The National Park charges an entrance fee, and tire chains are required to be carried in all vehicles traveling up to the Ridge.

Looking good for a early December opener at the Ridge. When was the last time the POMA was open for the Christmas holiday week? December 6th is our first scheduled operating day, snow, weather and road conditions permitting.

Rumor has it Bill Goats frequents our little chunk of paradise on winter weekends, gotta have quick, keen eye to get a glimpse though. On the other hand it's probable just a rumor.

"Bill Goats is a legend. Rumor has it he can hike the Arm in 6 minutes, drink a beer in 6 seconds and has 6 secret spots at every resort this side of the Mississippi. I heard Bill Goats rode the Womb from the womb and can strap in on the chair without moving. It’s a fact that he built his own damn board and still managed to self power a trifecta before cooking the crew a grass fed dinner on a harvest moon. Bill Goats is 20 feet tall, rides board gigantic and reads terrain off of topical maps by candlelight in a cabin that sits at the perfect centroid of snow, skate and surf nirvanas. Some say Bill Goats is a myth or maybe a mist it depends on who’s talking and the amount of their lisp."

It's go time in the PNW. Crystal Mountain Resort opened yesterday. Indy Pass resorts will be opening soon. Time to buy your Indy Pass add on if your going to ride off the peninsula this season. https://hurricaneridge.com/?product=indy-pass-add-on
This is only good for Ridge season Pass holders so buy a ridge season pass if you don't have one yet.

A good article on nonprofit ski areas here.

The Ridge has been a nonprofit for a long, long time. Even on the best of years our bank account usually ends up with a - as opposed to a + on the balance sheet.

Currently, due to our outstanding group of volunteer board of directors, fundraisers, Education Foundation, as well as our mt. operations crew and employees, the future has never looked brighter then today.

As we get ready to start the new season in a couple of short weeks, we would like to thank you, our customers, as well as local community businesses, Local government agencies, tribal governments, chamber of commerce, civic groups and Olympic National Park for helping us live our dream and fulfill our goal of keeping winter sports, alive, available and affordable to all on the Olympic Peninsula and beyond.
